Shape Up hosted a one day event where community residents could obtain information on the Five a Day program (now known as More Matters) for fruits and vegetables, gardening, and other nutritional programs offered at the Health Department. The Women, Infants and Children program participated in the event as well as one of our local dieticians, Judy Heesacker. Children had fun coloring, playing games and digging in the dirt. The Kittitas County Farmers Market is held every Saturday from the beginning of May until the end of October from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Fourth Avenue between Pearl and Pine streets in downtown Ellensburg. |
